Team Colton DIPG Foundation
#ForeverSeven
Started by Colton's parents to support other families impacted by DIPG.
What is DIPG?
Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma.
DIPG is a brainstem tumor that primarily affects children between the ages of five and ten. It grows in the pons, the region of the brainstem that controls essential functions like heartbeats and breathing and thus makes surgery impossible. There is no cure.
DIPG remains significantly underfunded compared to other childhood cancers, in part because awareness is low. That's one of the reasons this foundation exists. To learn more, visit the DIPG Advocacy Group.
